Why buy from Linux Laptops?

You can walk into any computer store and buy a portable computer. Why should you buy a computer from Linux Laptops?

Linux Laptops computers are

Risk-Free

Our computers are ready to use out of the box. If you were to pick up a Linux CD and install it yourself, some parts of your laptop might not work right away. If you chose the wrong laptop, some parts might never work.

Loaded

Most software available for Linux is free; much of it comes already installed on your system. For many uses you won't need to spend any more money on software.

Reliable

Our computers just run and run; they'll go for months or years without crashing. (Note: this is not a good excuse for neglecting to make backups!)

Easy to
Use

We install the latest GNOME desktop for familiar buttons, windows, and drag-and-drop operation. It comes with an ever-growing list of productivity aids.

Easy to
Upgrade

Our computers are set up for free "incremental upgrading" of the software from a CD or the network, normally without restarting the computer before or after. You need never pay for upgrades of the software that comes with a Linux Laptops computer.

Supported

Each Linux Laptops computer comes with an option for three hours of support from Linux Support Services, LLC. We sell additional support from them and from LinuxCare.

Maintainable
Remotely

When most computers need expert attention, you have to bring them to an expert or persuade an expert to come to you. Linux Laptops products are set up so that in most cases this work can be done over the phone line, from anywhere, while you watch (or sleep).

Buying a computer from Linux Laptops is a smart choice whether you are just dipping a toe into Linux, or have already jumped in with both feet.
